What makes Barkley’s Freeze-Dried Beef Bowls unique?

We start with raw premium beef as the first ingredient, then gently freeze-dry it to lock in flavor and nutrition. The result is a nutrient-rich, shelf-stable meal with the same honest, whole-food goodness — no fillers, no shortcuts.

Do I need to add water to the freeze-dried beef recipe?

No water is required. You can serve it as-is for crunchy bites, or add a splash of warm water if your pup prefers a softer texture. Either way, they’ll love the tender beef flavor.

How much freeze-dried beef should I feed my dog?

Check the feeding guide on the package to match your pup’s weight with the right daily serving. Since freeze-dried is concentrated nutrition, a little goes a long way — adjust as needed to maintain a healthy weight.

Is freeze-dried beef safe for dogs?

Yes. Barkley’s Freeze-Dried Beef Bowls are made in a USDA facility and crafted to meet the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance. You get the safety and quality your pup deserves, with all the benefits of raw nutrition.

What’s the difference between raw frozen and freeze-dried dog food?

Raw frozen bowls are served cold and fresh, while freeze-dried bowls offer the same nutrition in a lightweight, shelf-stable format. Both deliver pure, protein-rich meals — it just depends on what’s easiest for you and your pup.

How do I handle and store freeze-dried beef bowls?

Simply store at room temperature in a cool, dry place. After mealtime, wash hands, bowls, and utensils with hot soapy water. Keep the bag sealed tight to maintain freshness.

Can I mix freeze-dried beef with kibble?

Absolutely. Freeze-dried beef makes a perfect topper or mix-in to boost flavor and nutrition. Transition gradually if your dog is new to raw-style feeding.

LOVED BY DOGS, TRUSTED BY FAMILIES.

Our ranch dogs Johnny and Jeter at 9 years old were notoriously picky eaters. Their coats were dull and they were generally sluggish. Since switching to Barkley’s Bowls, they are waiting on the porch to eat twice a day like clockwork. The biggest change however is in their coats and behavior. Super shiny happy dogs!

— Lab Retriever Mix

Just started our boy on this and he ABSOLUTELY LOVESSS IT! He’s never been happier to get to his bowl.

— French Bull Dog

Moose is now a  7 month old German Shorthaired Pointer and clearly finding his confidence and independence. Barkley’s Bites are a crucial training tool to help him stay focused on whatever behavior we are working on.  Our sessions are always successful when I’ve got plenty of Barkley’s Bites ready to go!

— Emily, Daisy’s mom
