Who doesn’t love a good repurpose, especially when it comes to treating your pup with something healthy? Below are 3 healthy and delicious tips for repurposing your Barkley’s Bag bones.

Don’t forget to scrub your bones with hot water before filling!

PEANUT BUTTER + BANANA + HONEY

Instructions:

1. in a mixing bowl mash approx. 1/2 of a banana (smaller piece if banana is large)
2. add to mixing bowl approx. 1 tbs of peanut butter and 1 tsp of honey and mash
3. fill bone and place in freezer until frozen and ready for treat time!

*please note: peanut butter is high in fat so do not fill entire bone. Dogs should only have small portions at a time.

SWEET POTATO PUREE 

Instructions:

1. rinse and scrub sweet potato (keep the skin on for added nutrients!)
2. cut sweet potato into eighths and place in a large pot
3. add enough water to just cover the potatoes
4. boil sweet potatoes until tender for 15 – 20 minutes
5. drain pot and place sweet potato pieces in a bowl to mash
6. fill bone and place in freezer until frozen and ready for treat time!

PURE PUMPKIN (great for digestion)

Instructions:

1. simply purchase 1 can of Organic Pumpkin
2. fill bone with organic pumpkin puree and place in freezer until frozen and ready for treat time!

Please note: You will produce more stuffing than needed for all three recipes.

Place excess in a storage container in the fridge for the next days treat!
